International Worker's Day, also known as Labour Day in most countries and often referred to as May Day, is a celebration of the working classes that is promoted by the international labor movement and occurs every year on May Dat (1st May ).
Origin: On 21 April 1856, Australian stonemasons in victoria undertook a mass stoppage as part of the eight-hour workday movement.it became a yearly commemoration, inspiring American workers to have their first stoppage .1 May was chosen to be international Worker's Day to commemorate the 1886 Haymarket affair in Chicago.
2.Empire State Building was opened in the USA.
The Empire Stae Building is a 102-story Art Deco Skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, United States .it was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and built from 1930 to 1931 .its name is derived from "Empire State ", the nickname of the state of New York. The building has a roof height of 1,250 feet(380 m) and stands a total of 1,454 feet (443.2)tall, including its antenna.
The Empire Stae Building stood as the World's tallest building until the construction of the World Trade Center in 1970.
The design for the Empire State Building was changed fifteen times until it was ensured to be the world's tallest building.
construction started on March 17,1930, and the building opened thirteen and a half months afterward on May 1,1931.
3.Maharashtra state was formed
It was formed on 1 May 1960 by splitting the bilingual Bombay state, which had existed since 1956, into majority Marathi speaking Maharashtra and Gujarati-speaking Gujarat.
The state capital is Mumbai, the most populous urban area in India. The Godavari and the Krishna are the two major rivers in the state .marathi is the most widely spoken language and is also the official language of the state.
4.The famous Indian actor Ajith Kumar's Birthday
Ajith Kumar is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil cinema . To date, Ajith has starred in over 50 films. In addition to his acting, he is also a motor car racer and participated in the MRF Racing series (2010).
He began his career with a small role in the 1990 Tamil film En veedu En kanavar. He established himself as a romantic hero with kadhal kottai(1956) and established himself as an acting hero starting with the film Amarkalam(1999).
Ajith became a race car driver, competing in circuits around India in places such as Mumbai, Chennai, and Delhi. He is one among very few Indians to race in the arena and in formula championships. He has also been abroad for various races, including Germany and Malaysia.
He was born on 1 May 1971, in Hyderabad, India. His father P.subramanian is a Tamilian from Palakkad, Kerala and his mother Mohini is Sindhi from Kolkata, West Bengal. Ajith was the middle son out of the three brothers, the others being anup Kumar, an investor, and Anil Kumar, an IIT Madras graduate -turned -entrepreneur.
Ajith created the non-profit organization "Mohini -Mani Foundation ", named after his parents, in order to promote self-hygenic and civic consciousness and to help ease the problems of the urban sprawl.
Ajith Kumar is passionate about UAVs and drones .recently he has been appointed as the test pilot and UAV system advisor by Madras Institute of Technology for the medical Express -2018 UAV challenge.
