                             History provides us with the data that is used to create laws or theories about various aspects of society. The rich history of the world helps us to paint a detailed picture of where we stand today.

1.World Press Freedom day.

    

                

                                                            The united nations General Assembly declared May 3 to be World Press Freedom Day, observed to raise awareness of the importance of freedom of the press and remind governments of their duty to respect and uphold the right to freedom of expression enshrined under Article 19 of the 1948 universal Declaration of Human rights and marking the anniversary of the Windhoek Declaration, a statement of free press principles put together by African newspaper journalists in Windhoek in 1991.

                                                          UNESCO also marks World press freedom day each year by bringing together media professionals, press freedom organizations, and UN agencies to access the state of press freedom worldwide and discuss solutions for addressing challenges. Each conference is centered on a theme related, including good governance, media coverage of terrorism, impunity, and the role of media in post-conflict countries. 

2.First Grammy awards were announced.

                                                                         The Grammy award is an award presented by the Recording Academy to recognize achievement in the music industry. The trophy depicts a gilded gramophone.

                                                                             The first grammy awards ceremony was held on May 4,1959 to honor the musical accomplishments of performers for the year 1958. The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards were held on March 14,2021, in and around the Los Angels Convention Center.

                                                                                The gold-plated trophies, each depicting a gilded gramophone, are made and assembled by hand by Billings Artworks in Ridgway, Colorado. In 1990, the original Grammy design was revoked, changing the traditional soft lead for a stronger alloy less prone to damage, marking the trophy bigger and grander.
